Yates is a highly knowledgeable and respected former Artist Manager with over 15 years’ experience in the music and entertainment industry.
About
Yates has a broad skillset with specific focus on project management, communication, relationship building, people management, budgeting and reporting, creative thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution.
As both a Senior Artist Manager and Head of Artist Management at UNIFIED Music Group for over 12 years, Yates was the manager for artists such as Illy, Amy Shark, Violent Soho, Nina Las Vegas and The Kite String Tangle, among many others.
Since How Good’s inception in 2023, Yates has worked on a variety of campaigns across project management, artist development, label services and sponsorship for The Preatures, Bad//Dreems, Glassnote Records, AURORA, ASHWARYA, GROUPLOVE and more.
In the past Yates has also sat on the Board of the Association of Artist Managers (AAM) and the judging panel for the American Express Music Backers Grant from 2018-2020. In addition to this, Yates has shared his expertise at various music conferences across Australia, including BIGSOUND (QLD), Face the Music (VIC), WAMCon (WA) and Australian Music Week (NSW).
